These are the Four Pillars by which all we do is organized.  We feel that by adhering to these four pillars we are better allowing the school to grow, to foster young minds and allow everyone the greatest amount of latitude to be successful and happy in their school and work lives.

We see the school as a constantly growing and improving entity.  We are consistently working towards improvement in all four areas.  This website is a conscious choice to see our school become a place where communication is easier and more transparent.

We truly feel we have a staff that cares not only about performance in classes, but the growth and well being of the individuals we teach.  These students are a part of our everyday life and we see them as the future of Sylvan Lake and our best hope of constant improvement.

Our staff are always looking to improve their teaching, the learning in the classrooms and their own personal and professional development.  We work to have the constant growth and improvement be part of the planning and teaching they do each day.  This will inevitably lead to higher learning and better understanding by our students.

Again, this school is OUR school.  Everyone of us own a piece of this building, these classrooms and this community.  We are constantly working to make the school  the center of that communuity, and a better place for everyone to think, to learn, and to grow.
