Hey everyone! Welcome to the 2023-2024 school year!
My name is Sybil DeJonge and I am excited to be back at HJ Cody for my second year. This year I will be teaching Grade 9 and 10 PE, Grade 9 Outdoor Ed and Coaching the Grade 9 Girls Volleyball, as well as driving the Laker Shaker and Yellow bus around town to sports games and field trips.
I am passionate about being physically active and enjoy challenging myself in various activities like marathons, triathlons, hiking, XC Skiing, camping, and working out. I recently returned from an Alberta Hunter Education workshop and learned lots about survival skills, archery, bowhunting, and fishing. I also enjoy travelling and hanging out with my dog!
I am pleased to be part of the HJ Cody staff and looking forward to teaching and getting to know your children and sharing my knowledge about physical activity and the outdoors with them. Please do not hesitate to reach out if you have any questions, comments or concerns.
